ICC confirms receipt of petition to probe Raila and Kalonzo

- The International Criminal Court has confirmed receiving a petition seeking to have two top Opposition leaders Raila and Kalonzo investigated.
- The confirmation comes after two Kenyans, Kenneth Otieno and Martin Nkari instructed a Canadian law firm to have Fatou Bensouda — the ICC prosecutor launch investigations against the NASA leaders.
- The two claimed that utterances by the Opposition leaders were inflammatory and fall within the jurisdiction of the court., ethnic violence, profiling and mobilisation, sexual and gender based crimes and violent demos.
“The Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court acknowledges receipt of your documents/letter. "This communication has been duly entered in the Communications Register of the Office," the letter signed yesterday by Mark Dillon, head of the Information and Evidence Unit at the ICC, reads.
